Amorita Boutique Hotel: The Best Accommodation in Hanoi 2017

Sweet Selina who is assigned in the Lobby
This is the first time my sisters and I are traveling out of the country together, so I made sure that this will be very good experience for them. When we had our tickets booked, next thing I did is to find the best accommodation. Best for me is not just about luxury, I see to it that I pay my money’s worth and to my surprise, I found the gem in downtown Hanoi, Amorita Boutique Hotel. If you see their website, it doesn’t justify how amazing our experience was, so I told myself, THEY deserve a good detailed review!

Though our trip is in May, I already started reading blogs and the best stay-ins in Hanoi as early as February and there were many places to choose from. I used booking.com and found lots of super cheap hostels, even cheaper than what we got, but the things are, most are kind of old when you see them in person. Amorita Boutique Hotel is a newly established hotel near the Hoan Kiem Lake the place where most of the action in the city takes place. I have a lot to say about this 3-star hotel but I will tell you the major reasons why I think this hotel is a must stay place in the city.

My sister's cake and her bouquet of roses
Their team treats you as a family. We arrived in Hanoi on the 26th, in time for my sister’s birthday. I already notify Mark, the hotel manager of Amorita that it is my sister’s special day. I was just curious to ask if they are going to have a greeting card or a complimentary cupcake for her, to my surprise he told me that they have prepared a cake for her and they will place it inside our room. I was so excited to check our room and funny because my sister was the one who opened our door, to my astonishment, it was not only a simple personal cake. It’s a 6-inch round cake with a bouquet of roses! How sweet can that be! I have felt like we are not just treated as a guest, but rather a family who’s coming home from a long distant travel.
The Location is in the middle of most things must-see in the city. When you go         outside the hotel it will only be a few steps away from the following:
Majestic St. Joseph Cathedral
a.      Water Puppet Theater
b.     Hoan Kiem Lake
c.      St. Joseph Cathedral
d.     Other Famous Museums
e.       Don Xuan Market
f.       The famous Night Market on weekends where everything is cheaper than any other places
g.     Famous Foodtrip sites like Nom Thit Bo Kho, Bun ChaCafĂ© Giang, Bhan Mi, and a coffee shop just right beside the hotel

h.      Also the free walking tour offices and the super cheap travel agencies
i.        A mobile company where you can get a cheap local prepaid plan for your mobile data needs
j.        Foot gear shops

What you see in online is the same in person
A price of a backpacker hostel but the experience of a hotel. Our arrival in Hanoi was 2AM of May 26, it will be a super long wait if we wait for the check-in time of 2PM. I just then book May 25 to May 29, making a booking of 5 days and 4 nights all in all. Guess how much we paid for 3 persons for 5 days and 4 nights booking. Only $91.36USD or P4,568 which makes it only $7.61 or P380 per day per person! How can it be any cheaper than that having your own room and bathroom and not to mention, an amazing sumptuous breakfast! And when I say breakfast, it is a buffet with healthy fruit juices and fruits. What amazes me is that they even have a menu list which that are going to prepare for you like fresh eggs and bacon and even the famous Pho!
Fresh Juice, Vietnamese Coffee & Tea all you can!
Eggs, Bacon and these Yummy Vietnamese sausages

Yogurt, bread and yummy salad and more....

Efficient and super clean facilities.  Many accommodations in Hanoi that have more than 3 floors but does not have elevators, I was advised by a friend to make sure that the hotel mentions Lifts as a facility. Our amazing room is on the 5th floor, imagine if they got no lifts, which will be a heavy workout! Hanoi activities involve a lot of walking, you don’t want to climb five stories after a whole day of walking. In terms of cleanliness, there was no part in the hotel that is not super clean 100% of the time.
Buffet Table and Their Kitchen

Happy Guests having breakfast.

They can offer a special rate of tour packages. I know I initially mentioned
travel agencies within the area but I have to say that they can give special rates to their guests especially if you are going to choose more than one package. One thing you can be sure of with Amorita is that they have the best partners outside Hanoi. One example is the Halong Bay tour, I saw that their partner cruise is much better than what we got. If I only asked first!

Our overall experience in this little piece of paradise is super awesome. I will only have one place in mind when I go back to Hanoi and will only have one place to recommend for everyone to stay if they decided to get close to the action in the Old Quarter.

OUR 6 days BOHOL Experience

We arrived here in Tagbilaran City 20 minutes late than our expected arrival. We are here to attend the 3-day International Conference in Carlos P. Garcia Sports Complex and but of course, this trip would not be complete without seeing their HOT SPOTS here!

We are staying here in Marcelina's Guesthouse you can check them at www.marcelinasguesthouse.com. They are very hospitable and accommodating. We are in total of 29 guests to stay in 6 days and 5 nights. Their facility is very clean and cozy.

We're scheduled to have our Panglao Tour today at 3 PM, but our other co-delegates had two hours of delayed flight, Marcelina's Guesthouse Manager, Tito Josef suggested to go in Hinagdangan Cave instead for us no to spoil the fun in Panglao. We fixed our staff and went to our designated vans. I was surprised how the place improved for tourism. When I went here last 2007, Hinagdangan Cave can only be visited until a certain time in the afternoon because the cave was only dependent on sunlight. Now arriving around 5:30 PM, we were still able to enjoy the scenery of the cave, they have developed strong lights inside it that makes us see how big and spacious the cave was underneath.

Not only we have enjoyed taking pictures but also was very entertained with our tour guide (I forgot to ask his name, one thing to describe him though, the funny Kuya "Zuma" because of his "hairstyle"). He is fantastic at taking pictures of us no matter what model of the camera we asked him to use!

After almost 30 minutes under the cave, we bought some Bohol Shirts at the store near the cave. They were very cheap less than 100 pesos shirts and less than 20pesos ref magnets. We spent another 15 minutes checking the items there and then left for our SUMPTUOUS dinner in Jo's Chicken Inato.

Back in 2007, I was not that exposed in traveling provinces and that makes my "Sinugba" experience (natively grilled meals) that time in a below average level. I was totally amazed how things differ now when I ate again at Jo's Inato. I realized that Chicken Ati-Atihan of Palawan has set me into a much higher bar. Though the meal was still good, not as what my palette was expecting. Price is fair having an average of 150-200 per person.

Tomorrow we'll be heading to the popular Chocolate Hills and Loboc River. I cant wait for tomorrow!!! :)
